About the Role

We are recruiting an MYP Physics Teacher for an IB school in Baghdad.

This role is suited to a teacher who understands inquiry-based learning and can deliver engaging, concept-driven lessons aligned with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Physics lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
• Plan inquiry-based lessons that promote critical thinking and problem-solving.
• Support students in developing scientific knowledge and practical skills.
• Assess and track student progress in line with IB standards.
• Create a structured and engaging learning environment.
• Prepare students for progression into DP Science pathways.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum consistency.
• Uphold safeguarding and professional standards at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics or relate.

• Valid teaching licence or certification (US, UK, or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience.
• Experience teaching Physics at secondary level.
• IB MYP experience is highly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable

• IB training or certification.
• Experience teaching DP Physics.
• Previous international teaching experience.
