Lead the Mathematics department across KS3, KS4 and KS5

Location: Baghdad, Iraq.

We are currently recruiting a Head of Mathematics for a British international school in Baghdad, delivering the Pearson Edexcel curriculum.

This is a key leadership role for an experienced educator ready to take full control of a department and drive academic performance.

The Role

• Lead the Mathematics department across KS3, KS4 and KS5
• Oversee curriculum delivery in line with the British system
• Drive student attainment at IGCSE and A-Level
• Support, mentor, and develop teaching staff
• Maintain high standards in teaching, assessment, and outcomes
• Contribute to wider school leadership and strategy

Requirements

• PGCE with QTS (awarded by the Teaching Regulation Agency)
• Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience within the British Curriculum
• At least 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership role (Head of Department or similar)
• Strong track record of exam results
• Ability to lead, structure, and improve a department
